With a career in senior management and electrical engineering, Simon took on his first manager role in 1992 and was promoted to his first director position in 2003. Simon co-founded mel Group with Andy in 2016.
His interest in engineering dates back to his childhood, and he has encouraged the mel team to adopt the same mindset: a natural curiosity that helps find practical solutions to complex problems.
He continues to lead the design processes at mel Group, extending his scope of work to include not just resilient power distribution and process controls but also mel Group’s business operations.
The personal pride he takes in designing efficient, reliable and safe engineering solutions is an ethos he has also built into mel Group’s organisational culture.
