Andy’s journey began with a hands-on apprenticeship, during which he developed a strong foundation in electrical work and a genuine passion for the industry. Eager to grow, he went on to complete the City & Guilds Design & Verification 2400 course and took up a role as an estimator with his employer.
He not only honed his technical and commercial skills but also became closely involved in business development and contract management.
In 2016, Andy teamed up with his longtime friend and mentor, Simon, to launch mel Group. Andy genuinely enjoys meeting people, understanding what matters to them, and finding practical ways to make things happen. That down-to-earth, solutions-focused mindset has helped mel Group grow into a trusted partner to major clients.
